How Pennsylvania ranks for military retirees

With May being Military Appreciation Month and Memorial Day fast approaching, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2023’s Best & Worst States for Military Retirees. 
To help troops plan their years after service, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 28 key indicators of retirement-friendliness toward veterans. The data set ranges from job opportunities for veterans to housing affordability to quality of Veterans Administration hospitals.
Military Retirement in Pennsylvania (1st=best; 25th=average):
39th – Veterans per capita.
9th – Number of VA health facilities per number of veterans.
21st – % of homeless veterans.
31st – Veteran job opportunities.
20th – Housing affordability.
24th – % of veteran-owned businesses.
32nd – Number of VA benefits-administration facilities per number of veterans.
9th – Quality of VA hospitals.
